Capt Saleh Alfodhary of the Kuwait Coast Guard, the Commanding Officer of Combined Task Force (CTF) 152 and his staff were recently received by Captain John Craig, Deputy UK Maritime Component Commander (DUKMCC) and Captain UK Naval Support Facility (UKNSF) onboard the latter establishment in Bahrain.

 

The two captains discussed at length the importance of the relationship between UKMCC and CTF 152 in furthering the mutual cause of providing maritime security within the Gulf, as well as providing a valuable insight for Captain Alfodary into the living conditions of the permanent UK staff within his task force.

Capt Alfodary presented Capt Craig with an annotated print of the Gulf with CTF 152’s operating areas overlaid, and a set of personalised mugs for the UKMCC members of staff.

Capt Alfodhary said after the visit: “It is a great pleasure to be invited here today: this establishment is a testament to the UK and Royal Navy’s commitment to maintaining maritime security in the Gulf, and this has been a wonderful opportunity to discuss the vital relationship between UKMCC and CTF 152 in achieving this.”
