MANAMA, Bahrain – On March 7th, in a strategic exchange aimed at bolstering maritime security efforts in the Combined Task Force (CTF) 151’s area of responsibility, Rear Admiral Antonio Braz de Souza, Commander of CTF 151, visited the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) office, in Dubai.

RADM Antonio Braz provided an overview of CTF 151’s focused operations, aimed at deterring piracy and promoting maritime security in the region. He also extended an invitation to UKMTO to collaborate more closely with CTF 151, facilitating enhanced coordination and mutual support in achieving shared objectives.

On completion, expressing gratitude for the informative meeting and fruitful discussions, RADM Antonio Braz de Souza thanked LCDR Dougie Bell for their valuable insights and reaffirmed CTF 151’s commitment to fostering closer cooperation with UKMTO and other maritime stakeholders in safeguarding maritime interests and ensuring the free flow of commerce.
