Commander of the Combined Task Force 151, Rear Admiral Yoshiyasu Ishimaki, from the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF), recently visited CTF 152 to say goodbye as he prepares to return home after a successful tour. He was welcomed by CTF 152’s Commander, Commander Omar Alodat, and his staff.
RADM Ishimaki expressed his pleasure in CTF 152’s continuing efforts to provide maritime security operations throughout the Arabian Gulf despite the significant challenges caused by COVID-19. He recognized the level of cooperation maintained by the CTF 152 staff and its regional and international partners.
CDR Alodat thanked RADM Ishimaki for his and the JMSDF’s service to the Combined Maritime Forces in the ongoing countering of piracy activity in the Somali Basin, Gulf of Aden and North Arabian Sea.
