Combined Maritime Forces reinforces safety of life at sea

Last week saw a coordinated effort between Combined Task Force 151 (counter-piracy), the Pakistan Navy Fleet Headquarters, and the UK Maritime Trade Organisation (UKMTO) which led to a rescue in the Gulf of Oman.

Pakistani fishing vessel, Chad-1, sank but the eight crew members escaped in their life raft. The coordinated effort enabled nearby Marshall Islands flagged MV Hamburg to quickly get on the scene and pick up the survivors. All eight crew are now safe.
