During the weekend of 13-14 May 2017 CTF151 coordinated a rescue from a sinking Yemeni dhow, Al-Mubarak, in the western Gulf of Aden. Pakistan Navy Ship Tippu Sultan, on CTF151 counter piracy operations, was first on scene and, following the involvement of UKMTO and assistance of Djibouti-flagged merchant vessel MV Aladdin, the dhow’s crew of 8 was delivered safely to Aden.
