MANAMA, Bahrain – The Brazilian-led Combined Task Force (CTF) 151 hosted an exercise between the Pakistan Navy Ship PNS Aslat and Japanese Maritime Self-Defence Force ship JS Sazanami in the Arabian Sea, June 3.

As part of a broader initiative to bolster naval presence in the region, the exercise contributed to the safety of maritime navigation and ensuring the free flow of commerce.

The exercise included a series of coordinated activities designed to enhance the operational capabilities and interoperability of Combined Maritime Forces members. Events included communication exercises, which helped improve both via VHF and alternative methods of transmitting information, and tactical manoeuvre exercises for manoeuvring in close proximity, enhancing operational flexibility.
