TASK FORCE INFORMATION EXCHANGE AT SEA
Valuable information on counter-piracy operations and coordination of assets off Somalia and the Gulf of Aden, was recently exchanged during a cross-deck by Task Force Commanders in flagship TCG Gemlik on 13 Oct.
Commander Combined Task Force (CTF)151 Rear Admiral (RDML) Oguz Karaman of the Turkish Navy hosted EUNAVFOR Commander RDML Enrico Credendino from the Italian Navy and two officers from the their flagship ITS San Giusto, Commanders Giuseppe Aletta and Luc De Maesschalck.
TURKEY ASSUMES COMMAND OF COMBINED TASK FORCE 151
Rear Admiral Oğuz Karaman, Turkish Navy has relieved Rear Admiral Anho Chung from the Republic of Korea Navy, as Commander Combined Task Force (CCTF) 151 (counter piracy). The change of command ceremony was conducted by Vice Admiral John W. Miller, Commander U.S. Naval Forces Central Command / Commander, U.S. 5th Fleet / Commander, Combined Maritime Forces on board the Republic of Korea Ship (ROKS) Wang Geon, Mina Salman, Bahrain, September 19.
