MANAMA, BAHRAIN: Combined Task Force (CTF) 151’s newly appointed commander, Pakistan Navy Commodore Sohail Ahmad Azmie, spent his first week engaging with commanders of other task forces under Combined Maritime Forces as well as EUNAVFOR ATALANTA. Cdre Azmie held a video teleconference with Force Commander of EUNAVFOR Counter-Piracy CTF 465, Portuguese Navy Commodore Alexandre Joaquim Gamurca Serrano.

Cdre Serrano congratulated Cdre Azmie on assuming command of CTF 151. Cdre Azmie expressed his gratitude to Cdre Serrano for his support with CTF 465 assets in associated support to CTF 151. “Both Task Forces have been coordinating effectively to ensure smooth Force Flow and ISR coverage in order to respond to
piracy-related incidents,” said Azmie. “We must stay vigilant against suspicious activities at sea and ensure quick sharing of information.” Cdre Serrano acknowledged the importance of collaborative efforts in protecting global commons.
