CTF 152 commanded by the Kuwaiti Navy has conducted a series of Key Leadership Engagements. Cdre Talal Alkandiri (Kuwait Navy) has carried out two visits to the Bahraini Coast Guard and the Bahraini Navy to discuss the joint aim of maritime security within the Arabian Gulf region.

During these visits Cdre Alkandiri met with Cdre Saqib Qamar, the Commander of the Bahraini Coast Guard and RAdm Ahmed Bin Ali, the Head of the Bahraini Navy. At these meetings the two Bahraini Commanders expressed their support for the CTF 152 ongoing mission, promoting maritime security in the Arabian Gulf and enabling the free flow of commerce, whilst Cdre Alkandiri thanked Bahrain for their continued hosting of CMF’s Command functions and their own security efforts within Bahrain’s territorial waters.

Looking to the future all parties agreed to continue working together to improve the flow of information between the different organisations as well as the Bahraini Coast Guard expressing their willingness to participate in the CTF 152 Command Staff.
CTF 152 is one of five task forces under Combined Maritime Forces, the world’s largest international naval partnership. CTF 152’s mission is to counter smuggling activities, disrupt activities that support terrorism using the maritime commons and to support legal fishing in the Arabian Gulf
