French Navy Capt. Yannick Bossu represented the Deputy Commander of the
Combined Maritime Forces at the Eastern & Southern Africa Commission on
Drugs high-level meeting held in Mauritius, Aug. 10-11. The gathering was an
multinational exchange to discuss methods of fighting illegal drugs
activities in the Eastern Africa shoreline and nearby
waters.

“It was a unique opportunity to exchange with researchers, high-level
decision makers and law enforcement authorities about effective counter
narcotics policies in the region, to explain the role of the CMF, especially
CTF150 and CTF154, and to consider together ways to strengthen cooperation,”
Bossu said.

ESACD is a EU-funded organization that gathers researchers, high-level
decision makers and NGOs to tackle maritime drugs activities.
