HMS ST ALBANS IN JOINT LIFE SAVING OPERATION 30/09/2011

HMS St Albans sprung into action after receiving news of three critically ill casualties onboard a cargo dhow. The ship provided medical assistance to the casualties after Royal Marines had secured the vessel and then transferred the casualties to fast patrol boats of the Omani Police force.

HMS St Albans is currently deployed to the Middle East where she is carrying out Counter Terrorism, Anti Narcotics and anti Piracy operations. She is due to return to the UK in December.
