Commander Combined Task Force 151 (CTF 151), Rear Admiral Byeong-Ju Yu, Republic of Korea Navy, visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) where he met key members of the Royal Saudi Naval Force (RSNF) in order to further develop maritime security and counter-piracy coordination.

Rear Admiral Yu began his visit in Riyadh where he met the Deputy Commander of the RSNF, Rear Admiral Fahad Ali Al Furaidan to discuss their shared approach towards maritime security.

Rear Admiral Yu said: “The Combined Maritime Force has a strong relationship with the Royal Saudi Naval Force and appreciate their active support in ensuring maritime security by providing assets and personnel. In addition, counter-piracy operations have successfully deterred attacks and the support of the RNSF has been instrumental in achieving this.”


Commander CTF 151 continued his visit in Jeddah where he met the Commander of the RNSF Western Fleet, Rear Admiral Sagar Mohammed Al Harbi, thanking him for providing assets and sharing information with the Combined Maritime Forces. The sharing of information is vital to support our operations and to provide an overall maritime picture to continue to deter piracy.
